With such a limited restaurant selection in the eastern districts it’s refreshing to find a good Italian joint. The Italian Kitchen may be located in an unassuming strip mall, but their interior is that of a modern Italian eatery with brick-lined walls, warm hues and even a bar to perch at. Start your evening by ordering a cocktail or some wine from their wine list, which features both well-known brands and a handful of high end bottles. Their menu is surprisingly large and features Italian classics along with their own creations in the form of antipasti, wood-fired pizzas, pastas, main plates and desserts. They utilise local fish and produce wherever possible, but for everything else they only order fresh, quality ingredients. Have an issue with gluten? They cater to that too and offer both gluten-free pastas and pizza crusts. So next time you are in East End swing by for a bite and if you happen to be staying in Cayman Kai you can call for delivery if you aren’t up for the drive.
