Kaibo Beach

Kaibo Beach has been a staple restaurant in Cayman Kai since 1999.  It has always been a friendly establishment where you can grab a drink instead of being cooped up in your beach house.  With only two restaurant groups in the entire area and a small population to serve, the food options were limited...but not anymore.  After you've chosen your seat under a shaded picnic table on the beach or in their comfy bar area, prepare to be wowed!  Their revamped menu is not your stereotypical beach bar fare of overcooked burgers and boring chicken tenders, but an elevated version of beach appropriate cuisine in an effort to please diners.  Enjoy a glass of wine or beer, classic cocktails, mocktails or a rare rum before you dive into the food.  You won't regret trying their creative salads, delicious appetizers, large entrées, wood-fired pizzas, and unique sandwiches and wraps.  They even identify vegetarian and gluten-free dishes (a first for the quiet district of North Side) so you can rest assured that there is something for everyone.

The "Red Snapper Sandwich" with a few swap outs (which is totally allowed!)  Instead of snapper I opted for the catch of the day, wahoo, and instead of a sandwich I went for a wrap.  The rest remained the same with a creamy jerk mayo, fresh tomatoes and lettuce filling the inside.  Order with a side of the Kaibo Mixed salad (pictured) or their famous crispy fries.

Crispy Conch Fritters with a jalapeño mayo and a topping of pickled onions and pickles.  I loved the way the pickled onions added another dimension of flavor to this popular dish.

The Soft Shell Crab Sandwich with a kimchi mayo and soy-dressed Asian slaw served with their seriously crispy fries.  It may come over-slawed, so just remove some for an easier bite.
